The Fire Safety Act 2021, amends the Fire Safety Order 2005 (application to premises). To clarify all buildings that contains two or more domestic premises to include the buildings structure and external walls, all doors between domestic and common parts. External walls include windows and balconies Require a fire safety assessment. A commencement date for Wales has now been confirmed which will be 1 October 2021.
