Domestic Private Rented Sector Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards

New EPC Consultation - Have your say

The key points the Government are proposing are:
- New tenancies will have to be EPC rating C by 2028 and existing tenancies 2030
- With a proposal of up to £15,000 for a landlord to spend with zero rate on VAT until March 2027 to help with energy saving measures
- Maximum fine of up to £30,000 for non-compliant landlords
- A temporary exemption for new owners with tenants in situ
